Half Day Abseiling in Langdale and Beyond

Get down and have a good time.

Let’s go abseiling! It’s the daring activity of stepping backwards over a huge drop and lowering yourself to safety. Here in the Lake District National Park, we have access to numerous impressive sites for this sport.

If you book a half-day session, you can have your pick of the pack. Quarries are particularly good locations because they tend to have long, vertical drops, sometimes over water. There’s one in Langdale, which is a stone’s throw from our base in Ambleside, and more in Yewdale, Borrowdale and beyond.

To allow you to complete successful abseils, we’ll pair you up with one of our expert outdoor instructors and kit you out with high quality equipment and safety gear. All you need to do is make sure you have everything necessary for a good few hours in the great outdoors, including appropriate layers and footwear.

This is an excellent choice if you’re ready for adventure, but you’re not up for an overly physical day.

You don’t need to exert yourself a great deal to enjoy abseiling, but you’ll feel the thrills anyway!
