Wessex Mountaineering Club

Welcome to Wessex Mountaineering Club

The club is for climbers from the Dorset, Hampshire, and Wiltshire areas.  It caters for all levels of ability, from beginners to experienced Alpinists.  Activities include:

Over 20 weekend meets a year, in areas such as North Wales and Pembrokeshire, Cornwall, the Lake District and the Peak District;
    local rock climbing in Swanage and Portland and walking meets in the area;
    weekly climbing wall meets in Poole and Southampton;
    annual meets in Scotland and the Alps.

In addition

    We are affiliated to the BMC which provides 3rd party liability insurance and other benefits;
    We receive discounts in many shops and at the Poole and Calshot climbing walls.

The club hut in North Wales is available for use by club members and non members.
