Description of Derbyshire Pennine Club

Derbyshire Pennine Club first formed in the 1906, by J.W. Puttrell, a leading pioneer of cave exploration in Derbyshire. In the first few years of it’s establishment, the club discovered and re discovered many great caving systems in the area, the most important one being the uncovering and digging out of Nettle Pot. Caving is a really awesome activity to do, as you get to explore things that not everyone else does.

As well as exploring the local area, Derbyshire Pennine Club also own a hut in the village of Stoney Middleton which can be used by members and non members alike. This hut is a great place to use as a base for some fun activities, so if you are interested in finding out some more information about the club house or the club itself, contact the club and get some more details.
