It couldn’t be simpler with Richmond Bridge Boat Hire. We do exactly what we say on the tin: we’re based at Richmond Bridge on the River Thames in West London - a beautiful place in all seasons - and we offer boats for hire.

The vessels in question are traditional rowing skiffs. Round-bottomed, streamlined and clinker-built, these boats have been running up and down the river for hundreds of years. They’re simple enough that anyone, even those without rowing experience, can get them going and we have a range of sizes for groups of 1-8 people to enjoy. We offer them for one hour, two hour and full-day hire.

Upon arrival, you’ll receive some instructions on how to row safely and life jackets for every member of the group. Then you can be off on a journey upstream or downriver. You’ll share the water with other boaters, canoeists, stand-up paddleboarders and water birds as the leafy banks and riverside pub gardens slip by.

Even at this inland location, the river is tidal. We’ll give you all the information you need in order to manage - or take advantage of - the changing conditions. In general, there are at least five hours of navigable tide per day throughout the season (March to October).
