Welcome to Chas. Hardern Boats

We are a family run business who have been operating for over 25 years. We started our business after having cruised almost all of the canal system ourselves, and now we want to use this experience to provide you with a relaxing and unforgettable narrowboat holiday.

Don´t worry if you haven´t been on a narrowboat holiday before, we provide instructions and demonstrations to narrowboat hirers before they set off so you feel confident and relaxed when you start your holiday. We will also send you notes on the mechanics of the particular narrowboat you have hired and on general canal matters a few weeks before your holiday.

Our Location

We are situated at Beeston Castle Wharf, in Beeston, Cheshire. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty, overlooked by both the ancient ruin of Beeston Castle, and more recently Peckforton Castle.

Our Routes

We can offer advice on the best route for you, taking into account how long you would like your holiday to last and how far you want to travel each day. Possible routes include:

•  Shropshire Union Canal
•  Bridgewater Canal and the River Weaver
•  Four Counties Ring
•  Cheshire Ring
