Marine wildlife and sightseeing tours in St Davids are the speciality of Aquaphobia.
We’re based in the UK’s smallest city, St Davids, perched on a headland in the stunning Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Many people enjoy hiking the clifftop trails in this area, but we know that the best way to see the coast, the islands and the animals that make their homes here is by boat.
To that end, we have a 10-person RIB that’s perfect for getting around the coastline and seeing everything that it has to offer. We run a number of different tours that reveal the secrets of the area. Some of the most popular ones visit the RSPB reserve of Ramsay Island, which is a short distance across the water from our base. Others go a bit further, crossing St Bride’s Bay to Skomer Island.
Our longest tours are wildlife watching tours. We go beyond Ramsay to the small rocky promontory of Grassholm, site of a gannet colony of international significance. On the way and the return journey, we’ll keep an eye out for dolphins and sail alongside them. If we’re lucky, we might cross paths with some wandering whales as well!
Our boat is suitable for people of all ages, with ten seats that all have excellent visibility. Our shorter tours are suitable for babies and toddlers, while longer trips are more appropriate for older passengers. Don’t leave your dog at home because the pooch can come too! Our guides will talk you through the sights, sounds and species that appear en route, making this an experience to remember.
On arrival in St Davids, you can park for free and take advantage of our free minivan service which will take you down to the slipway to meet the boat. It will take you right back to your car at the end of the tour too.
All aboard! We’re going on an adventure!
