Kestrels Archery Club is a great company that has been working for over 35 years. The club welcomes people with different archery experiences, from social and beginner archers to full-on competitive archers.
Now that we have introduced ourselves, we must talk about important things about us. If you want to come to practise an activity which is becoming more and more popular since The Hunger Games came out, you have to drive to Biggleswade, the hometown of famous people like Daniel Albone, the father of the tractor. In particular, we're located in Furzenhall Road, a few blocks from Biggleswade Hospital. We own an open green area which is perfect for welcoming huge groups to practise this incredible sport (did you know that we hold tournaments here to which around 60 people usually come to participate?).
We're also members of important associations like the Archery GB (AGB), the biggest association related to this sport in the whole United Kindom and responsible to assist archers of different skills and abilities.
What do we offer? Apart from the tournaments, that are though for experienced archers, we like the idea of introducing the activity to beginners thanks to our 4-lesson courses or our taster sessions to other programs where people who have participated in the already-named programmes and are members of our club can come to festivals, meeting and tournaments here, in Bedfordshire or in different locations in of country.
Who is our director? Martin Gascoigne, who has spent his whole life arching. What else can we say about our team of instructors? We think an important thing that we can't easily find in other companies or are never mentioned is the fact that we follow strict Child Protection policies and, as part of our core values, children who are younger than 16 must be always accompanied by their parents or legal guardians the whole time.
We're thrilled to say hello and we'll be pleased to share our passion for archery with you!
