Tips if you are going to do Children activities in United Kingdom

Today's children spend an average of seven hours a day in front of electronic devices such as televisions, tablets, laptop computers, and cell phones. Statistics suggest that today's youngsters are foregoing adventurous, outside play in favour of a more sedentary lifestyle. Encouraging children to spend more time outside and away from technology not only benefits their physical health, but also their emotional and mental health. There's no doubting the benefits of getting away from the computer and into the sunshine, whether it's a trip to a nature-inspired park or a stroll through the woods with their family. If you’d like to delve deeper, here are our top 5 reasons why children should do outdoor activities in the UK.
1. Improve fitness and wellbeing
Outdoor activities have been demonstrated to leave children with more advanced motor abilities, such as coordination, balance, and agility, than their “indoor” contemporaries. Activities such as walking, running, and biking are more likely to be enjoyed by children who play outside. Children have more room to run, stroll, jump, swing, and toss when they are outside and are less likely to develop diseases such as cardiovascular disease, asthma, diabetes, and sleep apnoea. Not only that, but sun exposure boosts mood and enhances the immune system.

2. Better muscular development
Most outdoor adventure activities will engage all of the core muscles needed to build overall strength and improve health. Learning to utilise their limb and back strength to climb, stabilising a kayak with their core, or steadying a bow with their breath – all of these are foundational muscle groups necessary to build a strong and healthy physique. What’s more is that they’ll have the time of their lives doing it as well!

3. Appreciation for the environment
According to recent research, 87% of those who spent time outside as children retained their love of nature into adulthood, and 84% of those surveyed indicated the environment was still a top priority for them. The reason for this is simple: youngsters learn to respect the environment by spending a lot of time outside since they have direct knowledge of habitats and animals. As people get older, their happy recollections of childhood experiences drive them to become more conscious of the need of maintaining the places they loved as children.

4. More sociability
Outdoor activities frequently necessitate inventiveness and cooperation, allowing children to have healthy relationships with one another. Children who challenge themselves with adventurous experiences become more self-conscious, as well as more mindful of others and their moods. Kids who play outside frequently are more likely to get along with their peers and establish common ground. It also doesn't hurt that soaking up all that sunshine makes them feel better. When you're in a good mood, it's tougher to get furious with someone!

5. Grow independently
Being outdoors has been found to aid in the development of a child's sense of independence. When youngsters go outside, they get a sense of independence that they do not have anywhere else. They have the freedom to explore and take small risks without feeling like an adult is hovering over them. The confidence they get as a result of this will aid them in their learning and growth. They tackle experiences and activities they wouldn't usually be able to try, and they can effectively apply problem-solving techniques to personally overcome new challenges.

When should I go?
We would suggest organising outdoor activities for your children all throughout the year – it’s imperative to introduce them to new environments and to overcome challenges no matter the weather. Take them to experience adventurous activities as often as you can to build their confidence and expose them to all the environments nature has to offer!
